Lithophanies

"A lithophane is a thin, translucent porcelain object in which an image or pattern is created by variations in thickness, becoming visible through the passage of light."

These lamps explore lithophany through a contemporary approach. Engraved porcelain and reactive glazes interact with light, revealing changing colors, patterns and layers.

Each lamp offers two expressions. When unlit, each lamp reveals one color composition. When illuminated, the porcelain becomes translucent, completely shifting the atmosphere.
